Nu-Phalt is committed totally to the effective management of all health, safety, environmental and quality standards, and has established and implemented dedicated systems to this effect.
Our positive health and safety culture underpins our entire business activity, and we work closely with all of our customers to ensure that health and safety, quality, and the environment are top of our agenda. We strive for continual improvements in health and safety delivery that significantly contribute to business performance within the services that we provide.
Achieving our goal
We are committed to the safety of those affected by our activities. Pre-project planning, implemented as part of a dedicated management system, ensure a health and safety focus throughout the duration of all projects.
Nu-Phalt is a learning organisation investing in the development of our people and benchmarking with the industry to attain best practice. All management and operatives hold industry accreditations and skills cards relevant to their role.
In 2008 we were awarded SAFEcontractor certification status as recognition of our commitment to health and safety standards.
The BBA is the UK's major approval body for new construction products and installers. BBA’s Agrément Certificates are recognised by specifiers and other industry decision-makers as proof that the products covered by them have been assessed and will allow compliance with Building Regulations to be achieved. An Agrément Certificate is awarded to a product by the BBA only after it has successfully passed a comprehensive assessment involving laboratory testing, on-site evaluations and product conformity.
In addition to our Agrément Certificate, Nu-Phalt has BBA Highway Authorities Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS) Certification.
HAPAS was set up by the Highways Agency, CSS (County Surveyors' Society) and the British Board of Agrément in 1995, with the objective of developing national approval arrangements for innovative products, materials and systems for use in highways and related areas. This removed the need for individual authorities to carry out their own assessments and tests. The approval process involves laboratory and witness testing, site inspection and evaluation of the source of production of the material under assessment. Existing test or performance information is also investigated.

The Nu-Phalt Infrared Road Repair System also has GASTEC accreditation.
GASTEC is an independent respected energy and environmental product testing company and has over 50 years' experience in appliance testing and certification to satisfy regulatory requirements. They independently assessed our vehicle and Infrared Road Repair System to the most stringent tests
against best industry practice and relevant safety standards.
